Hyundai dropped a new teaser for Verna
Hyundai is on the verge of launching a new generation of their mid-size sedan, the Verna. Hyundai cars are known for their premium quality and are loaded with features and the new generation Verna will be no different. Plenty of past spy snippets have sparked the excitement of the audience. Now, Hyundai has released yet another teaser, offering a glimpse of Verna’s interior.
Highlights revealed in the latest teaser
The upcoming Hyundai Verna is poised to showcase a bold and futuristic design. Hyundai has released a new teaser showcasing several features of the new Verna. On the exterior front, the Verna boasts an elongated LED DRL, slim bumpers, LED headlamps, striking alloy wheels, a 1.5 turbo emblem embossed on the tailgate, and a unique LED taillight that connects via a light bar running across the tailgate. Moving on to the interior, the Verna features a premium dual-tone beige and black theme, providing an airy feel. In this teaser, the interior of Verna sports the new multi-functional steering wheel, large-screen infotainment system, and a digital instrument cluster making it an advanced futuristic sedan.
About the powertrains
The new Hyundai Verna will be offered in a multitude of powertrain options. The base powertrain will comprise a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that is capable of producing 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an IVT transmission. However, the real showstopper will be the 1.5-liter four-cylinder T-GDI turbo petrol powertrain that delivers a whopping 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This engine will be available with an option of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT transmission. Hyundai has tuned the new powertrains to comply with upcoming emission norms. Unfortunately, Hyundai has decided not to include a diesel engine option for this latest generation of the Verna.
The competition
Upon its launch, Hyundai Verna will be faced off against its formidable rivals such as Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
