Tax authorities collect 32.741 billion drams in personal income taxes in May, 2020
YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Armenian tax authorities collected in May 2022 some 32.741 billion drams in personal income taxes, by 3.811 billion drams more than they had collected in May 2021, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
He said when compared to May 2018, the amount was up almost 8.6 billion drams. Pashinyan recalled that the overall personal income taxes collected in 2021 were up 29 billion drams than the amount collected in 2020; up 36 million drams from 2019 and up 97 billion drams compared to 2018. In January-May 2022, a total of 761.8 billion drams were collected in taxes and duties, according to official data.
The Armenian government plans to collect this year 1 trillion 947.8 billion drams in revenue (17% more in comparison with 2021), and spend 2 trillion 184 billion drams (10% more than last year's figure).
The projected budget deficit is set at 236.2 bln drams. Pashinyan added also today that in May, 2022 Armenia's wage fund was up 65% compared to May 2018 amounting to 160.056 billion drams. -0-
