GDP of EEU countries exceeded $1 trillion in 2021 - Mishustin
YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. The GDP of the Eurasian Economic Union's member countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) exceeded $1 trillion in 2021, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan today.
"Investments in fixed capital grew by more than 6.5%, the construction sector grew by 3.5%. Of course, all these trends should be consolidated and cooperation should be increased in all spheres from economy and trade to technologies, industrial production, innovations and humanitarian sphere," Mishustin said.
According to him, one of the key tasks is to deepen industrial cooperation.
"It is necessary to launch joint ventures in strategically important and high-tech areas, to create systems for financing such projects using mechanisms for subsidizing the interest rate on loans," Mishustin said.
He noted that each project should involve at least three countries, thus providing access of economies to the development of technology and stimulating integration processes. -0-
